Pop Up Sixers Rally Held At Reading Terminal Market

People heading to lunch today at the Reading Terminal got a bit more than they bargained for. A pop up, surprise Sixers rally held in the main part of the dining room. that included appearances by the Sixers hype team and some dancers, just after 12 Noon.

They came with about 250 rally towels ,100 t shirts and one pair of tickets, that went to a mother and her child, given to her by Gillie Da Kid, a podcaster and staple of the basketball team. The tickets were for tomorrow’s game against , the Boston Celtics. This is a quarter final playoff game and those tickets were free.

Several members of the hype team jumped onto a table and led the crowd in a Sixers chant. The spent about 10 minutes handing out Sixers swag and then they were gone. This was supposed to be a surprise but several die hard fans found out abut it and were there waiting.

The Sixers must win tomorrow in the best of seven series with the Celtics up 3-2.
