Male Robbed Of AR-Style Rifle In Kensington

Philadelphia Police are investigating the early morning armed robbery of a male . This happened about 1:50 AM when the victim was sitting in his car with the gun in a sling across his chest. The car was parked on Indiana near Water Street, according to police.
Pennsylvania is an open carry state as long as the person has a permit. There is a You Tuber that walks the streets of Kensington with an AR style gun , which he is doing for views and clicks. It is unknown if this is the same person. There are people that film areas of Kensington for social media channels.
There were no injuries reported during the encounter. The suspect has been described as a Hispanic male of an unknown age, wearing a black face mask, a black hooded sweatshirt, and grey sweatpants.
The East Detective Division is currently leading the investigation. No arrests have been made. Anyone with information regarding the incident is encouraged to contact the Philadelphia Police Department.
