City Trash Truck Causes Crash On Roosevelt Blvd

by Alex Lloyd Gross

Police said that a city trash truck was responsible for a three vehicle accident on the Roosevelt Blvd. at Deveraux Ave. this morning. At least two people sustained serious injuries from the accident, which happened about 8:40 PM.

The truck was traveling south on the Blvd, in the outer lane, when it came in contact with another vehicle that was crossing at the intersection. That vehicle collided with another car, sending both drivers to a local hospital.

The southbound outer lanes of the Blvd was closed for over an hour, as police did their investigation and called for tow trucks to the scene. The trash truck did not have much damage on on and it was driven away under it’s own power, police said.
