Woman Struck By Car In Bensalem

A woman crossing busy Route 13 was hit by a pick up truck as she crossed the road at the intersection of Route 13 and Woodhaven Road. The accident happened just before noon today.
The driver, who was coming from a parking lot did stop and remain at the scene, police said. The pedestrian had a head injury but it is not considered to be life threatening. She was described as a woman in her late 50’s or early 60’s.
There was heavy traffic around the intersection for about 20 minutes until police moved the striking vehicle and witnesses vehicles off the roadway.
