According to Federal Prosecutors, Seok Joon Lee, 54, of Jenkintown, Pennsylvania, is in a lot of trouble and facing federal and possible state charges as well, stemming from a bizarre incident that happened on April 22, 2026.
On that , authorities allege that he walked into a supermarket wearing a bulletproof vest, a law enforcement-type duty belt, a holstered firearm loaded with 13 rounds of live ammunition, and two spare magazines, identified himself as an FBI agent to a security guard, and attempted to conduct a security check of the supermarket. police were called and Lee is alleged to have told them that he was “undercover FBI” and his credentials were elsewhere.
The FBI does not do routine security checks of stores. Lee is charged with impersonating a federal agent. He could face up to three years in prison if convicted.
