State Rep Joe Hogan Secures Grants For School Safety
Rep. Joe Hogan (R-Bucks) announced today that multiple schools across the 142nd House District have received funding from the Pennsylvania Commission on Crime and Delinquency’s (PCCD) School Safety and Security Committee (SSSC). This funding comes from school safety and mental health grants.
School safety and mental health grants are open to public school entities, including school districts, career and technical schools/centers, intermediate units, and charter schools. Funds will advance the School Safety and Security Committee’s goal of ensuring that all Pennsylvania students can learn in safe, healthy school environments by helping school entities address basic safety and mental health needs.
The districts that received funding that are in the 142nd District are:
-Neshaminy School District received $516,521.
-Council Rock School District received $527,180.
-Bucks County Technical School received $70,000.
-Middle Bucks Institute of Technology received $70,000.
“Our students should always feel safe and secure wherever they attend school,” said Hogan. “These grants help both our area school districts and technical schools provide programs to support their students’ mental health and fund safety upgrades at their facilities across the district.”
