Pedestrian Struck By Car On Street Road In Bensalem

A pedestrian was hit by a car on the 2200 block of Street Road just before noon today. The pedestrian, said to be an older woman sustained serious injuries from the crash.
She was on Street Road, mid block, not at a crosswalk when she was hit by a westbound car that did stop and stay at the scene. The female driver was cooperating with police. The shoes from the pedestrian were thrown and landed several feet away.
West bound Street Road was closed for a while by the U-Haul. Eastbound traffic was not affected. Police did not release any more information at the scene.
