Two Levittown Residents Have Federal Court Proceedings On Child Sex Or Child Porn Charges

Two residents of Levittown Pa have either just been arrested for child porn charges or have entered a guilty plea to child porn distribution. Gary Margerum, 69, of Levittown, Pennsylvania, entered a plea of guilty today before United States District Chief Judge Wendy Beetlestone to one count of distribution and attempted distribution of child pornography and one count of possession of child pornography.
Margerum was a former cop in Tullytown and also involved with the fire service. In April of 2025 he was charged after authorities got a tip that he was sharing images and or videos that qualify as child porn. His case in Bucks County was dismissed and federal charges were filed.
Margerum had run in’s with minors when he was a Tullytown cop, for kissing and touching a 15 year old girl. When he gets sentenced, on December 17 he faces a maximum possible term of 40 years in prison and up to a lifetime of supervised release. You can read the original story here.
Yesterday, US Attorney David Metcalf announced the arrested of Bo Branstetter, 30, of Levittown, Pennsylvania, was arrested and charged by indictment with attempted use of an interstate commerce facility to entice a minor to engage in sexual conduct and attempted transfer of obscene material to a minor.
Authorities allege that for 10 days in June, specifically from June 13, 2026, to June 23, 2026, he tried to get a minor to have sex with him and also he tried to send child porn to that minor. Authorities said that he did it with through the internet and use of computers and cell phones.
Branstetter has been ordered held behind bars pending his trial. If convicted he will do a minimum 10 years up to life in federal prison, authorities said.
