A Heavy Quiet Releases New Independent Single

A band you probably have never heard of has released a song called “Downsider”. The band is called A Heavy Quiet, which is can be heard on most streaming platforms, only. “It’s not available in physical format, at this time” said Brett Ditgen, who is the lead singer for the band.

“When recording, we do it when we have time, each band member records their parts”, then it gets mixed together in a studio. It is a safe bet that this formula will attract indie music fans only as it is not really being pushed to a rotation on radio.

The song came out on June 26 and it’s making wave with people that like to discover newer, obscure music. Musically, “Downsider” will appeal to fans of Tool, A Perfect Circle, Ghost, and Red Line Chemistry. The track pairs heavy, atmospheric instrumentation with lyrics examining the unintended consequences of technological dependence, including social media addiction, algorithm-driven behavior, isolation, and the increasing role of artificial intelligence in everyday life.

According to Ditgen a tour is “Highly unlikely” as each of the band members is immersed in doing other projects on different continents. They do have a website. It’s basic but does have links to their music. Here it is..
