Scooter Thief Tips Off Warrington Police and Gets Himself Arrested

On September 11, 2026, Warrington Police were called to the John Barclay Elementary School for a theft of a scooter that happened the previous day. They took a report and posted information on Social Media about the theft.
The victim parked the scooter at the bike rack. An unknown male rode up on a bicycle and rode away on the scooter. Security cameras captured the theft .
Tips came in from the public , but one tip stood out. That was from Charles McKnight, from Philadelphia. He told police that juveniles involved in the theft had been in the area of Barclay Elementary at approximately 10:43 P.M. on the same day as the theft. Responding officers located the stolen scooter. Video surveillance showed of a male running with the scooter and placed it on the bike rack.
Police went back to the school and found the scooter. They also found McKnight, who admitted to the theft. He was charged with Theft by Unlawful Taking and Receiving Stolen Property. He was processed and released by police.
