Two Thieves Pistol Whip Clerk and Rob North Philly Grocery Store

Philadelphia Police have released video of the two black males who walked into the store, located at 1501 North 29th St. One male is wearing a mask and the other made a feeble attempt to cover his face. A third male kept a watch outside. It was about 4:00 PM opn September 29,2026 when the robbery happened.

Philadelphia Police said that when they entered the Diaz Grocery on N 29th St . The suspects produced handguns, announced a robbery and forced the victims to a rear stockroom where they demanded access to a safe. Suspect #1 pistol whipped the store owner in the face resulting in a large laceration below their eye. The suspects were unable to access the safe so the front point of sale area was ransacked, they fled eastbound on W Jefferson St. with the victim’s keys, phone and approximately 7,000 USC.

Suspect #1: Black male, 25-30 years-of-age, KMSL hooded sweatshirt and Sprayground backpack, armed with a black handgun.
Suspect #2: Black/Male, 17-20, ear length twists/braids, black/white Spiderman backpack, armed with a black handgun. There is no description given of the third male.

The backpacks and clothing they worse are high profile, so someone has to have seen them wearing it before the robbery, or since.
