Woman Arrested For Blocking Food Robot In Center City

Philadelphia Police have confirmed that they arrested Caroline Marvin after she was seen blocking a food delivery robot during the afternoon of October 14, 2026. The location was at 12th and Filbert, near the Reading Terminal Market.

The woman, identified as Carolne Marvin told police she was intentionally blocking the robot as a protest. She believed the robot was taking jobs from people. The delivery robots have been in California for a few years. They are now starting to make their way into Philadelphia.

The food establishment programs a code which the customer uses to gain access to the food. Using GPS, the robot rolls to the address that is programmed. It is climate controlled so food is delivered reasonably hot or cold.

Marvin was issued a Criminal Violation Notice for disorderly conduct. She was not fingerprinted or photographed.

  1. There goes that wonderful Modern Technology again!
Always causing a stir, always being hacked, or disruptive to someone’s life.
And so the old lady got her panties in a bunch and went for a robot delivery machine.

Now I ask….. why didn’t those rolling robots have a pepper-spray device designed in?
Along with a speaker that issues a warning to leave the thing alone…. or else.
Or didn’t the fabulous designers ever consider that possible human criminal interactions like this might happen.

The old hang might have gotten a faceful of pray, or sprayed up her dress.
    LOL!
