Double murder suspect in Philly arrested

Philadelphia Police announced today, March 21, 2016 that they have taken 27 year old Ronald Dorsey into custody stemming from a shooting on the 4700 block of Vista street in August 2014.  As cops made one arrest,  James Mears,  just days after the shooting that left two people dead from gunshot wounds. Cops continued their investigation and that lead to a second suspect, Dorsey.

He walking into the Homicide  Unit of the Police Department with his lawyer and turned himself in.  The arrest happened on March 18, 2016. He is being held without bail on murder and related offenses. killed in the shooting was Dollie Evans and Ruby Thomas.  Thomas was found upstairs in a bedroom with an electric cord wrapped around her neck. She had also been shot. Both victims had been pronounced dead at the scene. Dorsey had a warrant for his arrest since late February of this year.
