Large pro police rally held in Philly
By Alex Lloyd Gross
With all of the negative protests directed towards law enforcement, it is refreshing to hear about citizens coming together to support law enforcement. One such rally was held Sunday August 7, 2016. several thousand people came out to cheer and show their support. It was referred to by some as the Black and Blue Motorcycle run. In short several hundred bikers gathered at the FOP headquarters on Caroline Road in the northeast.
The bikers then drove past police districts in the northeast and Kensington, before driving through the intersection of Cottman and Frankford Avenues. As they got there, the crowd, cheered and held signs supporting the cops. This was a friendly crowd. They did not block the street, as traffic was free to flow down Frankford Ave.
