Head on crash closes Bensalem Boulevard

A vehicle operated by a Levittown man is said to have crossed into on coming traffic, which caused a serious crash on Bensalem Boulevard today, November 6 2017 . Police were called to the area of Bensalem Boulevard and Flushing Road, and found a serious two vehicle collision.  Both vehicles were occupied by only a driver  and both of those drivers were trapped in their vehicles for s short while.

The crash happened just after 2:45 PM . After a brief investigation,  tow trucks were called to remove both vehicles, which were blocking the street completely. Fire crews from Penndel, Bristol and Bensalem responded to help  with the extrication.  A witness said that the name claimed to be from Levittown, and he veered from his lane of travel and caused the crash.   no other vehicles were involved. Bensalem Boulevard was closed in both directions for at least two hours.  Police did not know what caused the man to lose control . The other driver, a female is from Bensalem.
