Saint Patrick’s Day is not until March 17.  That small fact did not stop the annual parade from marching down the streets of Philadelphia on Sunday, March 11, 2018.  It’s very convenient that the Eagles official colors are green.  Thousands showed up to see the parade and to bar crawl around the city.  The parade route was around city hall then down Market Street.

Some areas the parade route was filled with spectators , while others it was sparse.  Marchers included animals, and anyone that wanted to join in.  After the official parade came the unofficial march down South Street., there, traffic ground to a halt, as marching bands and drum corps  made their way east on the hippest street in town.  Even though it was Sunday, the party did not stop until well after dark.

Spectators would sit in the street, and watch as the parade went by. Not on the cub, but right in the street, near city hall.  Some  people would join in for a few blocks.
