Police Warn Of COVID-19 Testing Scam

Police in Perkasie Borough , Bucks County Pa.have been advised of a possible scam involving people taking advantage of peoples fear related to the coronavirus. There are reports of people going door to door possibly wearing official looking clothing,. They are asking people to take a test for COVID-19.
Police said that either the person is scammed out of money because the tests are not valid or official or the person is robbed. No one in the Perkasie or Sellersville area has reported that they have been the victim of these scams. Authorities warn not to open the door for someone you do not know. They also advised against taking any medical tests that you did not initiate, or know about prior.
Perkasie is located in Upper Bucks County, near Sellersville.
