Rick Johnson, Assistant Chief of Tullytown Fire Co. Dies from COVID-19

If words you had to pick a word to describe  Rick Johnson, friendly, knowledgeable, brave and kind would top that list.  Johnson was a past Chief of the Tullytown Fire Company and served as the Assistant Chief. He died overnight from COVID-19 at a hospital in Bucks County. The chief came down with the coronavirus and was hospitalized., He is the 12th death from this virus in Bucks County.

His members lined up outside  the hospital with emergency lights on and made a short video that you can see here.Chief Johnson was an integral part of not only his company but of the Bucks County Fire and EMS Honor Guard. He served for 30 years.

Friends and family were shocked to hear of his passing. They flooded social media with tributes and remembrances of him.  This firefighters gathered outside the hospital, unable to see him but they still came to show their support Friday night, because as a voice on the video,  said “This is what we do”.
