Homeowner Injured in NE Philly House Fire

One person was taken to a local hospital in serious condition after a house fire on the 8900 block of Springview Rd. The fire happened December 11, 2020 about 7:20 PM. . After receiving multiple calls about a house on fire, crews got there to find heavy fire on the first floor of a single family house. Multiple medic units were called as a precaution, but only one person was hospitalized, fire officials said.
The cause is being investigated. Crews remained on scene upwards of two hours after the initial call. The interior is badly damaged and the home is uninhabitable. There was no word on if the family had any pets.
