Disturbance Leads To Police Shooting On Christmas

Two people are dead following a disturbance on the 3300 block of Emerald Street, just after midnight on Christmas 2020. police gave this account of what happened.
They got a call about a disturbance on that block and a patrol wagon responded. Police said that officers were on scene and started to calm things down, when more people came from their houses and started to fight in the middle of the street and sidewalk. Punches were thrown and people were hurt. At one point, a Hispanic male pulled a pistol from his waistband and fired two shots.
Those bullets hit two teenagers in the neck. A 15 and a 17 year old. police then pulled their weapons and fired at the male, striking him dead in the torso. He was pronounced dead at the scene.. His gun was recovered.
The 15 year old died from his wounds. The 17 year old is in stable condition. The officers were not hurt.
