Northeast Bank Robbed, Thief Got Bait Money

The First Trust Bank, located on the 9300 block of Krewstown Road, in Northeast Philadelphia was held up by a black male, just after 1:30 PM. The male used a simulated weapon, which means no weapon was displayed, he just alluded to the fact that he had one, police said.  The male was heavy set, wearing all black, with a black ski mask.

He got away with under $2000 but it was bait money. Unfortunately, there was no tracker or dye pack to explode .He made is escape in a smaller vehicle, older model. A partial tag of ZSW. The  branch will be closed for the remainder of the afternoon. If an arrest is not made, police will release a video of the robber. When he is caught, he could face federal charges, as well.
