There are lots of reasons people steal from stores.  Some people are crushed by the rising prices of everything and they need it to survive.  Then there are these two, pictured above. They re accused of lifting an estimated $12,500 in items from the Giant supermarket on York Road.  Police said they entered the store on two different occasions, one on February 21,2022 and again on March 7, 2022.

They walked in, stayed in the store for about 50 minutes , loading up their shopping carts and getting into a silver Toyota Rav-4. That vehicle had no tags.  Police said that in that location, he thefts totaled $12,500. However the couple are suspected in other thefts in the same area. The pushed the carts past all of the registers without paying, police said.

Police think they could be selling the stolen items at places in Kensington to get money for drugs. Police in Bucks, and Montgomery Counties  are looking for the couple. The female was last seen wearing leopard print pants and tiger striped shoes.
