Arrest Made In Philly Chick Fil-A Shooting

It was all over a milkshake. That is what is behind an employee getting shot while working at the Chick Fill-A restaurant on Adams Ave. This happened last night, June 13,2022.  The employee worked as the team lead for the shift.

Police said that two males in a dark colored car got into a dispute because they thought they were due an extra milkshake. As store employees asked for a receipt, the two males in the car refused to provide it.  They then drove off and then circled back., but not before displaying a gun, police said.

When they did circle back, Philadelphia Police Captain John Walker said they pulled out a pistol and fired one shot our of the car window. . That shot hit the 17 year old worker in the leg. He is expected to make a full recovery, police said.

The shooting was captured on camera. “We were able to get a tag from the car and broadcast that info to officers in the field,” Walker said. One officer saw the car  near Frankford. He tried to stop it but the car and it’s occupant got away.

Police spotted the vehicle near Luzurne Street, in the area of Lycoming Street. It was not occupied and police called for a t. As the police tow operator was arriving, a male approached and asked to get items from the car. Police recognized him from the description and he was placed under arrest.

 

 

He will be charged with firearms and assault charges. His name is being withheld until he i9s formally charged. During the investigation, it was learned that the males who shot the clerk were Door Dash Drivers. Door Dash issued a statement wishing the clerk a speedy recovery and denounced their driver. Police said he did not have a permit to carry a gun.
