Elderly Woman With Dementia Missing In Bensalem

At 10:18 pm last evening, Bensalem Township Police responded to Pintail Court in Bensalem for the report of a missing elderly female. Shakuntalaben Patel walked away from her home on Pintail Court around 8:56 am on Monday, June 28, 2022 and didn’t return home. Ms. Patel has dementia and needs to take medications each day. Her family checked with other family members and numerous locations before contacting police. She does have family in Trenton, NJ and Edison, NJ and it is possible that she got onto a Septa bus. Bensalem Police conducted a search around her home utilizing officers on the ground and a drone but Ms. Patel was not located.
All local hospitals were also checked with negative results. Bensalem Police continue to search the area surrounding her home. Shakuntalaben Patel is described a 71-year-old, Indian female, 5’0” tall, approximately 70 pounds, with salt and pepper hair pulled back in a pony tail. A Ring camera captured her as she was leaving the residence and shows what she was wearing at the time she went missing, dark pants and a red and white striped shirt (see attached).
