Someone is about to go to Federal Prison. They are accused of robbing a postman twice within the same week.

On Dec 2, 2022 about 5:50 PM a postman was working, delivering mail on Sargent Street.  He was approached by an unknown male who snatched his keys from his waistband and fled in an unknown direction.

On December 5, 2022, at approximately 5:10 PM, a United Stated Postal Service mail carrier, a 56-year-old male, was sorting mail at Jasper and Cumberland Streets when am unknown Hispanic male approached him asking him for change at which point the mail carrier gave the male change. The mail carrier then went to the 2400 block of Jasper Street when the same male approached him asked for more change. When the mail carrier told the male he did not have any change, the suspect grabbed the mail carrier’s OC Spray out of his bag and started spraying him in the face demanding the mail carrier’s keys at which point the suspect grabbed the mail carrier’s mail bag then fled and was last seen west on Boston Street. This mail carrier believes this is the same male from both incidents.

  • Suspect Description: Hispanic male, wearing a black jacket with fur around the hood, dark pants, 6’0″.

Watch the above video. You can see the suspect walking with the mail bag slung over his  right shoulder.  Stealing from a US Postal employee is a federal offense.
