Employees at the 7-Eleven shop on the 5600 block of Ridge Avenue noticed a male acting suspicious  when he entered the store. He would concentrate his activity around an ATM and then he left the store.  On November 25, 2022 This male installed a skimming device and camera that recorded the PIN numbers of customers.

The next day, employees found the skimmer and camera and called police. Now they want to arrest the male for identity theft and other charges. Skimming devices are becoming more and more common. Police said that you should wiggle the keypad when you are about to use the ATM.  When it wiggles it should pull off. That is a skimmer. If it is sturdy and does not wiggle, there is no skimmer on the device.
