People that own mini marts are not multi millionaires.  They go to work, provide for their family and go home. To make a bit of extra money, they will sometimes put in items to help them make a bit more cash. like ATM machines.  They may make a few dollars off the fee or maybe in rent.  They certainly did not sign up to be robbed at gunpoint by thieves who want to take the machines.

On Dec 19, 2022 Two armed thugs, dressed to cover their faces, with masks and gloves to insure no transfer of finger prints, entered the Nedro Mini Mart,  at 5900 North 21st Street.  One walked straight to the ATM and the other threatened the clerk with a gun.  A lot of ATM machines are free standing and not bolted down. These two grabbed it and dragged it out of the shop.

The put it into the rear of a parked 2010 or 2012  Toyota RAV–4, which was parked right outside the store. The rear  hatch was left open, as the thieves were hoping no one would steal the vehicle.  Police said that these two are suspected of other ATM thefts in the area.
