Mayor Of Morrisville Charged In Hit and Run Crash

Brud Charles Anderson, 50, of Morrisville was charged via summons with hit and run, after he hit another vehicle near Trenton Road on April 13, 2023. According to police, he struck a woman in a gray 2022 Chevrolet Equinox who was involved in the crash.
The woman was heading south on North Delmorr Avenue and as she approached the intersection, an unknown black Ford Sport-Trac heading north on North Delmorr Avenue also approached the intersection and attempted to make a left onto East Trenton Avenue. The crash was caught on camera operated by Delaware River Bridge Commission.
While the woman was not seriously hurt, she was injured, officials said. Morrisville Police received information on the plate number of the striking vehicle, which was registered to Anderson.
After the crash, the Distinct Attorney said that the striking vehicle backed up and then drove away from the scene, going east on Trenton Avenue. The crash was investigated by the Bucks County District Attorney’s office and Bucks County Detectives.
