Two Car Crash Closes Route 13 In Bensalem

Police were forced to close busy Route 13 in Bensalem for a two car crash that sent a New Jersey woman to a local hospital for injuries. The crash happened about 10:15 AM when the car registered in New Jersey allegedly crossed the double yellow line , while traveling south on Route 13. This car then collided with a Northbound car.
This crash took place near the 3600 block of Bristol Pike, on the “S” curve, just north of Gibbs Lane. The other driver was not hurt. Traffic was closed from Gibbs Lane to Park Avenue. During this time, a female called 911 to complain about the road being closed, oblivious to multiple emergency vehicles at the scene with flashing lights.
Tow trucks arrived and removed the vehicles and the road was re opened in about one hour, police said.
