Bicycle Rider Struck and Killed By Hit And Run Driver In Parkwood

About 4:15 AM today, a male, about 18 years old was riding a bicycle and crossing the intersection of Woodhaven and Byberry Roads, when a vehicle drove past the intersection and hit him.
The driver of the car took off and did not return to the scene. Medics were called and transported the victim to Jefferson Torresdale Hospital,where he was pronounced dead at 4:53AM. Police are investigating the crash, which includes checking the area around the crash scene for videos of any vehicles.
No identity of the victim has been made at this time.
