Car and Amazon Truck Collide In Bensalem

Shortly before 8:00 AM a delivery truck, contracted to drive for Amazon collided with a passenger car at the intersection of I-95 and Street Road in Bensalem.
The driver of the car sustained non life threatening injuries. The car was going straight, towards State Road, when the truck attempted to turn onto Southbound I-95. The tractor sustained serious damage.
The crash ruptured a saddle tank on the truck, causing diesel fuel to spill onto the road. The fire department was called to mitigate the spill. This contributed to the extended closure of the intersection. Driver intending to go on the interstate had to go to 413 or Woodhaven Road. The driver of the truck was not hurt, police said.
