Accident Shuts Down Street Road In Feasterville

by Alex Lloyd Gross

A serious four vehicle accident has caused the closure of Street Road from Philmont Ave. to Old Street Road in both directions. This accident happened today, around 1:00 PM when a male driving a Nissan crossed over the median and slammed head on into a Tesla. The driver of the Tesla was taken to a local hospital.

The Nissan driver then backed up, and sideswiped another car before backing up into the front of a brand new Toyota. The drivers of those two vehicles declined medical treatment at the scene.

Police took the driver of the Nissan into custody for investigation, after he failed field sobriety tests. They will do a blood test on him to see if he is intoxicated or experiencing a medical condition. Both directions of Street Road are expected to be closed for a few hours for the investigation.

Fire Police are on scene and traffic is backed up on Philmont Avenue as driver figure out how to maneuver around the scene.

  1. This area is a disaster. So many accidents happen between Bustleton and Philmont and theres no good way to detour around it. I turned around in the acme shopping center, made a left on bustleton, and there was another accident on bustleton! GPS took me down side streets and ended up on philmont. The worst part, im not sure anything CAN be done to improve safety in this area.

  2. The accidents are caused by careless drivers. The responsibility is on them. Camera’s would be great but it will not change the number of accidents. We should be grateful for the Lower Southampton Great Fire Marshall, Police, and Fire Companies.
