Search On For Driver That Flipped Truck On PA Turnpike

There was heavy traffic this afternoon all around the region. People were in a hurry. several accidents happened , most due to excessive speed. One such crash was on the deceleration ramp of the Pennsylvania Turnpike at the Bensalem Exit. A tractor trailer had flipped onto it’s side.
Fire crews and police responded as there was a report of a person trapped. The truck was occupied by a driver and a passenger, a child. police said. Prior to police arrival, the driver grabbed the child and fled the scene, police said. They were last seen near Old Lincoln Highway in the vicinity of Street Road..
Officers were in the process of cleaning up a previous accident when they were alerted to the male and child. It is unknown why the driver fled and did not wait for police. At this point, the extent of any injuries to the driver or child are unknown.
