Male Fights Cops and Bystanders After Lower Moreland Crash

Police in Lower Moreland just announced the arrest of 42 year old Armond Xhelo after he was involved in a crash and allegedly left the scene on December 4, 2023. He was found by bystanders at the WAWA on Philmont Avenue. He was allegedly threatening bystanders with a baseball bat.
As officers arrived, he escalated the situation and police said he became combative.. He grabbed onto the roof rack of his car in an attempt to avoid getting handcuffed and then started to swing his fists and kick his feet. He became so violent, police said that he knocked a taser from an officers hands.
Xhelo was eventually arrested and placed into a patrol car. He then started to kick the window in an attempt to break it. His charges include Aggravated Assault, Disarming A Law Enforcement Officer, threats and multiple, other related offenses.
