Two Car Crash Ties Up Bristol Pike In Bensalem

Motorists traveling on Bristol Pike in Bensalem near the “S” bend were wondering what happened to cause the road to be closed and traffic diverted about 3:10 PM. The answer was a two car accident.
Both vehicles wound up in the wooded berm on southbound lanes. None of the injuries was reported serious, police said. Northbound traffic was backed up and south bound traffic was closed due to fire apparatus placement.
Tow trucks had to take up the entire south bound lane to clean up the scene. The cause of the crash is under investigation. The wreckage was cleared in about an hour.
