Arrests Made In Crossing Guard North Philly Assault

On November 30,2023 a school crossing guard was on duty on the 2800 block of Cecil B. Moore Avenue when a 16 year old girl approached her. She had been beaten up in an attack and wanted to use the crossing guards phone to call her mother. That is when three females approached the crossing guard and were upset that she was helping the 16 year old girl.

They beat the crossing guard and kicked her and stomped on her. When the crossing guard tried to board a SEPTA bus to get away, the trio dragged her off the bus and continued the attack, police said. You can read the original story here./

Police released photos of the trio and they were quickly identified and arrested. They were identified as Imani Thomas, 26 and 18 year old Destiny Sanders. Thanks to the public’s help and the media for getting the story out. The juvenile, 16 heard about her two friends had been arrested and she quickly turned herself in, police said.

All three were charged with assault and related offenses, police said. The crossing guard is recovering at home, police said.
