Father Surrenders To Police In Retail Theft, Abandoned Baby Case

Philadelphia Police have arrested Alganon Muhammad, 22 in conjunction with the three alleged shoplifters that abandoned a three month old baby girl at the Philadelphia (Franklin) Mills Wal-Mart back on January 18, 2024. The three, two black males and a white female were stopped by security. They fled, leaving the baby behind.

Police found the child’s mother, who they say was not involved in the theft. The baby girl was turned over to her, after being check out at Jefferson Torresdale Hospital.. After a week long investigation, police made an arrest of Muhammad, who was the father. The other two accused shoplifters are still being sought by police.
