Crash Closes Trevose Road Thru-Traffic For Several Hours

by Alex Lloyd Gross

A one vehicle crash has caused Trevose Road to be closed to through traffic for the remainder of today and possibly into tonight. A vehicle struck a utility pole near it’s base. The pole was cracked and broken off. Wires are leaning over Trevose Road and are low hanging. The road is not passable.

The pole could come down more at any moment, taking PECO and other utility wires down with it. The pole will have to be replaced and that will take several hours. The driver was going towards Street Road when the crash happened. He was not injured and there were no other vehicles involved, police said.

Trevose Road will be closed from County Line Road to Somerton Road, police said.
