Two Males Arrested In Recent Subway Shooting

Philadelphia Police have made two arrests in the February 24,2024 shooting/ robbery at the Broad and Hunting Park subway station, in North Philadelphia. Police gave the following details of the event.

About 9:00 PM police arrived at the station for a report of a male with a gun. When they arrived, they found a 22 year old male shot in his left side and shoulder.Upon further investigation,they determined that the male that did the shooting was being robbed by three other males. He pulled out a gun to defend himself.

He was then got jumped by the males who were robbing him and they tried to take the gun away from him. Shots were fired and the person shot was an innocent victim who just happened to be there,police said.He was taken to a local hospital in stable condition.

The shooter was taken in for questioning. He was released without being charged. Police were able to track down two of the males that were allegedly involved in the robbery. They were identified as Trevon Gordon, 21/ from Philadelphia. Gordon has been charged with Aggravated Assault, Robbery, VUFA, and related offenses.

Offender #2: Marquan Best, 23/, from Philadelphia. Best has been charged with Aggravated Assault, Robbery, VUFA, and related offenses.

Police said they got the firearms charge because they tried to take the victims gun when he was being robbed.
