Female Charged In Stabbing of Infant Last Week

Philadelphia Police identified Takeira Hester, 28, a homeless woman with the attempted murder of a one year old infant and a 24 year old female in two unrelated stabbings last week. You can read that story here.

Police found Hester in a West Philadelphia homeless shelter, on the 400 block of North 63rd Street. She was arrested just a few hours after she allegedly stabbed an infant and a 24 year old. The infant was stabbed in front of a synagogue. Police said the stabbing had nothing to do with the Jewish faith.

There was no record of an attorney for her. She most probably will be represented by a public defender. Her mental state is unknown. Psychological evaluations are normally done in cases such as this. In her mugshot, she refused to look at the camera.
