Accused Child Predator Arrested In Warrington
Charles William Guthier of Quakertown Pa caught the attention of police in Warrington when they were conducting an investigation into child porn. His internet IP address showed that he allegedly had a computer that allowed child porn to be stored on it and downloaded. In fact, police said Twenty-five (25) files were downloaded from this computer using file-sharing software. An additional forty-six (46) files were downloaded from this computer on October 24, 2023
On February 21, 2024 police got a warrant for his computer and found over 3000 images that are classified as Child Sexual Material. Police applied for a warrant for his arrest.
On March 21, 2024 an arrest warrant was obtained for Guthier. Guthier was located in south Texas at the Mexico Border and arrested by U.S. Border Patrol on this warrant. He was sent to the Cameron County Detention Facility to await extradition back to Pennsylvania to answer to these charges.
Guthier was returned to Pennsylvania and turned over to Warrington Police Investigators on April 17, 2024. He was arraigned on these charges by Magisterial District Judge Christopher O’Neill, and remanded to Bucks County Prison on $500,000.00/10% bail.
Police said that Guthier is a previous offender and is currently registered in the Megans Law database.
