Male Wanted For Escaping Police In Germantown

Police will sometimes run license tags of vehicles to determine the status of the owner or possibly driver. When an officer did that on May 10,2024. This happened on West Collum Street. When the driver, Nafiysh Knox-Schenck (32/M), was brought out of the car, he was found to have a gun on him.
He was quickly handcuffed and put in the back of a patrol car. He also had a warrant out for a different gun case, police said. Someone opened the back of the police car and Schenck ran out. Police pursued him but lost him.
“First, we want to find him, then we can work on finding the people that helped him escape”, said Corporal Jasmine Reilly, spokesperson for the Philadelphia Police Department. He was last seen East on Collum Street,police said.
