Intruder Assaults Child In Mayfair

Philadelphia Police confirmed that an intruder broke into a house on the 3400 block of Cottman Avenue. How they gained entry has not been released.
The intruder then sexually assaulted a child under 10 years old. That child was taken to Children’s Hospital. Police said this incident is being investigated by Special Victims. At this time, there is no video or photos to be released. Police are combing the area for video.
The intruder’s getaway route has not been disclosed. This incident happened about 3:30 AM today.
