Only In Philadelphia-World Portal Damaged By Copper Thieves

by Alex Lloyd Gross

The portal at 15th and JFK inside LOVE Park was damaged when four thieves cut some of the copper wire that keeps the portal in operation. They then loaded it into a (presumably) stolen trash bin from Waste Management . They then got on the Market Frankford Line to use the train as a getaway. No direction of travel was given.

Unless you’re a clueless idiot, ANYthing outside, using wiring/electric power, needs to be enclosed or shielded to protect it from weather, and vandalism. (common sense, lacking these days)
So the installers are not clued in, and not educated professionals.
So it’s their own fault for this issue.
