by Alex Lloyd Gross

A fight inside a SEPTA bus in West Philadelphia has claimed the life of a 15 year old boy. Police said that the bus had stopped at 40th and Girard Avenue and one of the boys in the fight was getting off of the bus through the rear doors. He turned, pulled out a handgun and fired one shot at another teenager. The happened a few minutes after 1:00 PM, police said.

That shot struck the boy in the chest. He was rushed to Penn Presbyterian Medical Center by police, but died at 1:19 PM, officials said. No arrests have been made and no weapon has been recovered. Detectives are in the process of looking at security camera footage from nearby residences and businesses. Most SEPTA buses are equipped with security cameras that will have captured the incident.

Police have offered a $20,000 reward for information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the shooter. No other passengers on the bus were hurt, police said.

  1. Ya can’t even safely take a bus ride these days!
These young punks are everywhere, causing havoc.

Again, I’ll state that the only way to stop this rash of violence in society is to impliment widespread un-announced police and/or SWAT visits to residences where young thugs are, and doing a warrent search for illegal firearms. – automobiles included.
And yes, even under granny’s beds.
How hard is it to use a metal detector to scan a home for things like this?
How difficult is it to scan social media for suspected firearms?
It’s not an invasion of privacy if it’s done for the common good and safety of society.

The root problems also need to be addressed, parental upbringing, etc.

Otherwise, this will only continue to disrupt and endanger society.
