Grand Jury Indicts 21 For Street Gang Shootings In Philly

The 33rd Philadelphia County Investigating Grand Jury found that 21 people were involved in serious gun crimes in the city from January 2022 through August 2023. The crimes include the murder of 18-year-old Aquill Foster.

Just about every area of Philadelphia was affected by the crimes that the individuals are alleged to have committed. District Attorney Larry Krasner said that Five of the defendants were arrested this week, while others were in custody on other charges.

The District Attorney alleged that those above were involved in 18 non-fatal shootings, three gunpoint carjackings, one car theft, and one gunpoint robbery. They represent the following street gangs. “The Senders,” “The Close Range Gang,” “7th Street,” and “PNB.”
