“Tough Guy” Male Wanted For Robberies and Assaults In Center City

by Alex Lloyd Gross

Philadelphia Police have released some photos of a tough guy that committed some crimes that through his own stupidity, escalated to at least one to a felony. The first transgression of the law was a simple retail theft at a 7-Eleven on April 9 2026. The above pictured male walked in, grabbed some merchandise and was about to walk out the door without paying for anything. That is retail theft, at best a small fine in Philadelphia. When a clerk tried to stop him, the male punched him several times, before running away. Now it’s felony robbery.

The second theft happened on the same date, about 30 minutes later, a 34 year-old-male, was walking on the 1600 block of Walnut St when an unknown male ran up from behind and snatched the phone out of his hand and took off running. The victim chased after the suspect, getting a hold of him across the street when they both fell to the ground and a struggled ensued. When the victim attempted to grab his phone out of the suspects hand, the suspect punched him several times in his head causing him to hit his head on the pavement. The suspect then stood up and ran away. The victim’s phone was later returned to the victim by a passerby. Another robbery charge.

Security cameras pictured the male. Should you know who or where he is, or if you see this  suspect, do not approach, contact 911 immediately. There is a small chance that the suspect may be a teenager.
