Police Officer Struck By Car While Working Phillies Detail

A Philadelphia Police Officer sustained serious injuries while working a traffic detail at the Phillies game last night. He was on the 1000 block of Packer Avenue . At about 9:19 PM a male was driving a 2018 Subaru and struck the officer.

The force of impact Caused the officer to strike the vehicle’s windshield and roof. Philadelphia Fire Department medics transported the officer to Jefferson Hospital, where he is listed as stable. The driver of the Subaru remained at the scene, and the investigation into the crash is ongoing with the Crash Investigation Division.

  1. I get so upset whenever I hear of a cop is injured or worse.
    I understand that their jobs are sometimes dangerous, but it’s still sad to hear about an Officer being harmed on the job.
    Did this Officer wear a bright reflective vest, if not, they really should if they do street traffic duty.
