Bensalem Police: Intoxicated Male Breaks Into House and Steals A Soda

on July 17 2026 Bensalem Police got a call about a burglary in progress that was taking place on the 2700 block of Forest Ave. The homeowner was not home but observed a stranger trying to break into his house through a ring camera.
When police got there, they found John Saresky in the basement of the house. An elderly resident was home at the time and oblivious to the break in. Saresky walked into the house through an unlocked back door and went into the basement. There, he selected a can of soda and drank it, police said.
Police wrote in court documents that Saresky was intoxicated at the time. He has been charged with burglary, trespassing and related offenses.
