Males Wanted For Questioning In Relation To Fraud In Warminster

One of the most common scams to hit senior citizens is the fake federal agent scam. An 85 year old Warminster man fell victim to it about a month ago. Police recovered security footage of two males they want to question about the scam.
The male answered his phone and was told that there was a banking investigation and he needed to withdraw money from his bank or he would be arrested. He was told to keep quiet or he would be arrested for divulging classified information, police said. The scammer kept the male on the phone and arranged for a rideshare driver to transport him to a branch of the Hatboro Federal Savings Bank.
The male withdrew $25,000 and told people it was for home improvement projects. The victim was kept on his phone the entire time . When he got back to his home, another person came and picked up the cash.
A day or two later the male was told to get $50,000 but could only get $10,000. police reviewed security camera footage and found these two males they would like to speak with. Police want to find out if they were merely ride share drivers and if so, who hired them. Or if they actually are involved in the scam on a deeper level.
Police have not yet recovered the stolen money.
